Pneumatic Mufflers & Compressed Air Silencers
Pneumatic mufflers, otherwise known as compressed air silencers, quietly and safely vent pressurized air to the surrounding environment from an air compressor. The compressed air silencers assist with reducing the noise produced by air valves, cylinders, manifolds, and fittings to improve workplace safety and comfort. Pneumatic mufflers and breather vents are constructed from sintered bronze and feature a maximum operating pressure of 150 PSI. The air mufflers come standard with a male pipe thread for easy installation to apply as a vacuum relief or pressure equalization in gearboxes, storage tanks, and other vessels.
Polyconn supplies a large range of pneumatic mufflers & breather vents from our valve selection in various sizes, configurations, and specifications to withstand light- to heavy-duty use. Available Pneumatic Mufflers & Breather Vents Options
Polyconn provides numerous pneumatic mufflers and compressed air silencer options for top industrial applications. Our high-flow and standard industrial air mufflers are made from stainless steel, aluminum, polyethylene, or sintered bronze and are offered in many configuration options to ensure the ideal fit for any pneumatic application. All of our pneumatic mufflers and breather vents are crafted from high-quality materials to ensure strength in tough conditions. Our pneumatic mufflers and breather vent options include:- High Flow Steel Muffler: Utilizing 50 mesh, self-cleaning stainless steel and designed with evenly distributed small holes, allows it to withstand shock and heavy-duty use. Temperature 35°F-160°F and max operation pressure of 300 PSI.
- Speed Control Muffler: Sintered bronze exterior to provide infinite variations to control air flow at an acceptable sound level on exhaust ports of air valves with an external adjustment screw to be used to open or close the muffler. Temperature range at 35°F-300°F and max operation pressure at 300 PSI.
- Breather Vent: Most often used on single-acting cylinders or valves to prevent contaminants from entering ports, but has many applications, such as vacuum relief or pressure equalization. Supplied with standard male pipe threads and have a temperature range of 35°F-300°F and a max operation pressure of 150 PSI.
- Sintered Bronze Muffler: Utilizes a porous filter element secured to a standard pipe fitting to diffuse air and muffle noise from exhaust ports of air valves, air cylinders, and air tools. Inexpensive and easy to install. Temperature range at 35°F-300°F and max operation pressure at 300 PSI.
- High Flow Aluminum Muffler: Utilizing a 50 mesh, self-cleaning stainless steel combined with corrosion-resistant aluminum to provide an ultra-quiet muffler with minimal back pressure. Temperature range 35°F-160°F with max operation pressure 300 PSI.
- High Flow Polyethylene Muffler: Contains a high-density porous body ultrasonically welded to the solid polyethylene base to reduce noise levels and maintain a lightweight, durable structure. Temperature range 41°F-140°F and max operation pressure of 150 PSI.
