Pilot Operated Check Valves
Pilot-operated check valves are unique circuit control valves that allow free flow of air from the inlet port through the outlet port. Supplying a pilot pressure to the pilot port allows flow in the opposite direction when air pressure on top of the poppet assembly opens the seal to allow air to flow freely. The poppet check traps the air when the air flow stops, and when the valve is piloted, the trapped air is allowed to flow back out of the control valve. These valves have the most effect in applications requiring an actuator to be locked in position and are ideal for reliably holding an actuator position in a variety of applications.
Polyconn supplies many pilot-operated check valves with different push-in options or NPT M and NPT F size options available. Contact us for more information about our pilot-operated check valves or request a quote for more detailed pricing information.
Features and Specifications of Pilot Operated Check Valves
The pilot-operated check valves, offered by Polyconn, have many features, specifications, and options available. The valves feature threaded Banjo or Push to Connect fittings with the NPT male threads having sealant applied, ensuring a tighter grip on the valves. Pilot port size is offered from 10 to 32. Through the unique make-up of the pilot-operated check valves, the valves are best used in pneumatic cylinders and primarily in applications requiring control of media in one direction. The design ensures a release from the checking function when in use and helps to lock cylinders in place to hold a position. All of Polyconn’s pilot-operated check valves are offered in male and female combination or just female, with NPT male offered from 1/8” to 1/2” and NPT female having similar sizes. The specification of our pilot-operated check valves includes:- Temperature Range: 14°F to 158°F (-10°C to 70°C)
- Operating Pressure Range: 1 – 10 bar
- Material: Anodized aluminum thread with nickel-plated brass
