FEP Tubing
Fluorinated ethylene propylene tubing, otherwise known as FEP tubing, is a transparent and flexible fluoropolymer tubing used for fluid transfer in demanding environments. The durability of FEP tubing provides this as an economical choice for applications requiring chemical resistance or exposure to a wide range of temperatures. FEP tubing is extremely flexible, making it an ideal choice for self-retracting coils. The tubing is available in a variety of packaged lengths and ensures the right fit for many needs.
Polyconn carries high-quality FEP tubing from our full line of specialty tubing products for any pneumatic need. View our FEP tubing options below for more details. Questions? Contact our sales team, and we’ll set you up with the right options for you!

FEP Tubing Overview and Features
The transparent, flexible, and chemically inert fluoropolymer structure of fluorinated ethylene propylene tubing provides many key features for use in demanding environments. Similar to Kynar® tubing, FEP tubing is highly used in high-purity or corrosive applications. The FEP tubing can withstand temperatures up to 400°F (204°C) and can operate in a wide range of temperatures. In addition, FEP tubing is offered in metric options. Several key features of Polyconn FEP tubing include:- 100% Virgin grade high-performance resin designed to resist stress cracking
- Low permeability
- High thermal stability and UV resistant
- Non-flammable/self-extinguishing
- Superior electrical insulation properties
- Chemically inert to most industrial chemicals and solvents
Advantages of FEP Tubing
FEP tubing provides several advantages in fluid transfer applications by offering exceptional chemical inertness, high optical clarity, and a wide operating temperature range. The tubing is highly flexible and allows for long, continuous lengths and heat welding. Many advantages of FEP tubing include:- Exceptional chemical resistance
- High optical clarity for fluid inspection
- Flexible and easy to use
- Low friction/non-stick surface
- Sterilizability
Common FEP Tubing Industry Applications
The chemical-resistant, wide temperature range, and electrical insulation properties ensure that FEP tubing is ideal for many common fluid transfer applications and industries. The durability of FEP tubing makes it the top choice for chemical applications. Several common industrial applications of FEP tubing include:- Catheters, laboratory equipment, and gamma sterilization in the medical industry
- Fuel lines and fluid transfer in the automotive industry
- Food and beverage transfer of different fluids and food items
- Safe transfer of corrosive chemicals and solvents in general industrial applications
- UV water purification systems
- Protective coatings for electrical insulation
